Baskerville’s Open Studios on Sunday afternoons are perfect for:
- anyone interested in seeing the shop
- former students of Baskerville classes
- folks with some bookbinding or letterpress printing experience (who have checked in with us first)
One or more Hounds will be on hand to show you around, offer aesthetic prowess and technical assistance on your project if you request a consultation, and grant access to Baskerville’s collection of lead, wood type, and presses. If you’d like to print, please give us a shout. Inks are included in press cost. All other materials (polymer plates, linoleum blocks, paper, etc.) are the responsibility and cost of the printer/binder, but we can help you figure out what you need and how to order it!
Sometimes Baskerville partners with other organizations and individual artists to host events, exhibitions, and readings. We have a party around the time of John Baskerville‘s birthday (January 28). Email email@example.com to inquire about using our space for an event or setting up a workshop for your organization or group.
Commissions & Partnerships
Baskerville is always open to collaborate with local artists and groups on interesting projects. If you’d like to commission a printer of Baskerville, look here for more information. Also, we’re proud to be part of a bigger printing and book arts community in New Orleans, Louisiana, and around the world. Check out some of our favorite people and groups here.
