The Broad Side Reading Series
The Broad Side is an annual event committed to women-identified writers taking up more than half of the spacetime. We lean towards the broad side of the spectrum, so to speak.
Each reading in the Broad Side Reading Series represents several weeks of collaboration between (mostly) women-identified writers and artists. Months before the reading, writers and printers are matched up to collaborate on original broadsides. Much of the work is created in the same space where readings take place at Baskerville.
We are looking for writers and artists to participate in The Broad Side!
If you are interested in reading at The Broad Side, please, send us a (6-10 page) sample of your work! We want to read your poetry, fiction, nonfiction, and wacky hybrid forms! We also want to know who you are–so please include a brief bio. Send work to: firstname.lastname@example.org
If you are interested in making a broadside for The Broad Side, please, tell us who you are! Send a few images of your work, and let us know what print processes you work with and if you will need studio access. We will match you up with a writer we love! Send work to: email@example.com
